The golden hues of dawn pierce the silent blackness,

Stirring all that is life from the imagination of the dreaming.

The mind energised with the warming rays giving birth to new hope.

Mankind given the gift of possibility – the opportunity of creation.

For mankind has yet to survive,

The voyage of Hell its own creation.

Set to descend into a torment of fear and horror yet unimagined.

Mankind has created naught but its own fear.

Only destroyed the opportunity given.

Time at a still as mankind seeks still its destiny.

For this Hell that descends its blackness as it circumnavigates mankind is not that which God has given.

God’s creation still silent, the possibility unrealised.

Dormant.

Time still…………………

Philosophy is more important at this time in mankind’s history than ever before.

Its academic importance is proven by our Government’s and so-called spires of intellectual recycled thought which are threadbare of any new ideas. Now they merely compound worn out algebraic theory which shackles the mind not frees it. Evidence: Artificial Intelligence. Laughingly AI is sold as the future of the mind – yet the mind is so undiscovered that is makes Mars exploration look like a road trip to Disney World whilst ignoring the New World that our minds are capable of producing.

So too look at nuclear fusion. A cacophony of dollar to a project of uselessness. Why bother? We have the sun and its renewable energy. Philosophy steers to the dawn of a world where the sky is rich blue without the toxic air of greed but the dollar without philosophy brings the wasted enterprise of nuclear fusion. This world of structuralist thought so sought by Government has produced an inability to solve any of the man made problems of the World. Government does not think. Instead it outsources and in doing so has lost leadership which is now owned by vested self-interest. Most academics are ‘automated learning machines’ only interested in the grade and the $ it brings. Academia was long ago bought and sold by those who seek to steer the World for their own desires and not those of a united mankind.

Philosophy is the most important description of ‘thought as a central purpose’. It is a ‘signpost’ for the world to a future in which mankind does not purposely endeavor through greed, selfishness and government starved of ‘new thought’. Without exception, we are led by men and women who care little for ‘the dream’ whilst destroying our world with vote bytes of spin, hypocrisy and vote spending.Their outdated and ‘past the use-by-date’ style of monopolistic government in which democracy only lasts the 24 hours of voting day does not match the aspirations of an increasingly educated and ambitious peoples who want a better world without dying for it.Add to this sinkhole of vested interest ‘the Corporate’. These soulless automated citadels of globalization govern the world with their bought government whilst hourly counting the greed of their share options. Their trading floor of interconnected trade ownership which sells the the global serf to the highest bidder reduces the worker to naught but a digit to be traded across currencies. Where there is no philosophy there is only the dollar to value and steer the way forward.

That is why philosophy is so important. For proof of this look no further than Australia where the life blood of our Nation – water, is not used for the best benefit of the people but unbelievably sold to the highest bidder. These czars of arid politics count their post- electoral share options as they wash their hands in the dry dirt of an agricultural industry decimated by greed and stupidity. Look also to the Nation of my birth and the debacle and insanity of Brexit. 27 major economies on our doorstep, and we have had to endure the economic insanity of Prime Ministers who traded political greed for the future of our Nation. An end to ‘Free movement’? Yes, but not with a lemming like leap into distant waters.

Do any of our leaders stir the soul, enliven the spirit and cause you to leap into the new day dawn of a future in which your mind not just your wage weary body does help steer the tiller? I doubt if any do. We are a people, a World and many Nations. We have hope, aspiration, dreams and desires. We want purpose not politic, hope not spin and a future not Climate Change. That is why the philosophy is so important. It takes not AI and its binary greed but our soul and spirit, our culture and our history and most of all – each one of us to into a future we can dream of and more importantly create for each other.
